Very Tiny Pieces

2023

“When you shout at me with all your size, generations of men are shouting at me. You probably feel small and cute inside. You have such little understanding of what comes out of you. And I know in my mind that you look at me like a little child, looking at his big mother. But when I look at you, I see a man who hasn’t realized he’s grown. “Very Tiny Pieces” shares a personal narrative that explores a mother’s relationship through the eyes of her son. Set to a revealing soundtrack, the piece gradually uncovers an intimate story, touching on violence and gender tensions.

Using the "Open Source Choreography" method, this creation integrates pre-existing solo performances by the six participants into a cohesive whole. This approach allows each performer’s voice to be present and personal, which is particularly valuable when exploring such delicate themes.

“Very Tiny Pieces” blends dance, music, and live performance into a single narrative. It offers a personal perspective on family dynamics, confronting the fine line between love and pain in personal relationships.
